I am an energetic editor and videographer dedicated to finding unique ways to bring a client's vision to life. My interpersonal skills help me thrive in collaborative environments and build confidence in camera shy subjects. In addition, my diverse academic background gives me a sophisticated ability to interpret and build a visual language for a client. 

My specialty is creating videos for visual artists. I bring to this work a deep understanding of art history (MA in Art History and PhD in Visual Studies), personal experience as an artist (Painting/Drawing graduate student), and a genuine passion for the importance of the arts. This, combined with my filmmaking skills and knowledge, allows me to conduct interviews that empower my artist clients. I study each client's art so as to formulate questions that serve as springboards to encourage them in telling the story of their work. The resulting video is one that communicates an understanding of the artist more effectively than an artist statement. It draws on nearly every part of my background, and is one of the most satisfying experiences I have as a filmmaker.

As a documentary filmmaker, I am interested in subjects that demonstrate the variety of ways one can build community. Community is built where people gather, sometimes in dire circumstances. It is where people grow stronger as themselves and grow curious about the unfamiliar. It is where bold projects take place, despite the hurdles before them. I am drawn to those who consciously build community and am passionate about documenting their strategies, struggles, and victories.
